IRVING, TX, April 18, 2017 Animal Supply Company (ASC), the national leader in pet food and supplies distribution, intends to acquire the assets of Lads Pet Supplies, which is headquartered in Angola, NY. It is expected to close April 21, 2017. Lads offers brands such as Fromm, Bayer, KLN, Merrick, and Zignature.
“Expanding our presence in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic furthering our relationship with our current customers and welcoming new customers to the ASC family further grows our distribution platform essential to our Strategic Plan,” said Don McIntyre, CEO of ASC. “We also welcome the entire Lads team to ASC which Ron Smith will continue to lead as President of Lads.”
Founded in 1963 by Bill & Doris Smith, Lads Pet Supplies has an excellent history of customer service – doing what’s right for their customer and vendor partners. Lads focused has been on being a great partner for the independent pet specialty retailer. ASC is excited to continue this tradition and further extend its offerings in the region.
